SPEAKER
Rev. Timothy Tarnacki, OSPPE
Vocation Director, The Order of Saint Paul the First Hermit (the Pauline Fathers and Brothers) – Doylestown, Pa.
and
Director, Office for Ministry with Young Adults – Archdiocese of Philadelphia
Reverend Timothy Tarnacki is a priest of the Order of Saint Paul the First Hermit, also known as Pauline Fathers and Brothers. He was born in Poland and immigrated with his family to the United States at the age of 12. He grew up in Stamford, Connecticut, and joined the Paulines by starting his postulancy after graduating from high school in 2008. For our December 16 meeting, Fr. Timothy will explain several Polish Advent and Christmas traditions and will show how many Polish faith and traditional religious practices are very much rooted in the Sacraments, some of which, Father Tarnacki notes, can help us to truly “keep Christ in Christmas.”
Father Tarnacki attended the Pauline Seminary and the Pontifical University of Saint John Paul II in Krakow, Poland. He graduated with a master’s degree in theology, specializing in Biblical Exegesis. He made his final religious vows in 2015 at the Marian Shrine in Czestochowa, Poland, and was ordained to the priesthood on June 19, 2016 at the National Shrine of Our Lady of Czestochowa in Doylestown, Pennsylvania.
Following ordination, Father Timothy began ministering at the Shrine, where he has been particularly involved with its youth and young adult ministry and, in fact, co-founded Czestochowa Young Adults (CYA). He has served in various additional capacities, including the Shrine’s media coordinator and chaplain and theology teacher for its homeschooling community. He was also chaplain at Holy Family University in Northeast Philadelphia.
In 2023, Archbishop Nelson Pérez appointed Father Timothy Director of the Office for Ministry with Young Adults of the Archdiocese of Philadelphia. He also continues to serve as the Vocation Director of the American Province of the Pauline Fathers and Brothers in Doylestown. Father Tarnacki earned his Doctor of Ministry degree, specializing in evangelization, at the Catholic University of America in Washington, D.C., in 2025.
