Serra International Honors Fernández
Feast of St. Ignatius of Loyola
The Serra Club of Philadelphia is proud to announce an honor recently awarded our club president, Jorge Ignacio Fernández.
In her announcement letter accompanying the Missionary of St. Junipero Serra Award, Dr. Moira McQueen, past president of Serra International, stated: “Your diligent and delicate work in preparing the ground for a Serra Club in Havana, Cuba, is admirable. Your generosity to the Cuban people over many years through your Foundation is extraordinary, and a wonderful example to us all about the importance of faith, hope, and charity.”
