Fr. Phil Hurley, SJ
National Director, Pope’s Worldwide Prayer Network

Grace Mazza Urbanski
National Vice Director, Pope’s Worldwide Prayer Network

Father Phil Hurley, SJ serves as National Director for the U.S. national office of the Pope’s Worldwide Prayer Network and as the network’s Continental Coordinator for North America, which includes the United States, Canada, and several Caribbean countries. He is also a member of the Pope’s Worldwide Prayer Network International Council. His work includes visioning and strategic planning, development, retreat leadership across the country, and assisting with the Hearts on Fire retreat program for young adults.

Previously, Father Phil served as university chaplain at Loyola University Maryland and pastor of St. Raphael the Archangel Catholic Church in Raleigh, North Carolina. From 2009–2013, he served as youth and young adult director for the U.S. office of the Pope’s Worldwide Prayer Network, then known as the Apostleship of Prayer, and helped found the Hearts on Fire retreat program based on the Spiritual Exercises. His ministry also has local Philadelphia ties: he served as parochial vicar at Old St. Joseph’s Church. In addition, he taught at Gonzaga College High School in Washington, D.C., and has written and recorded music with the collaborative Jesuit Tracks.

Grace Mazza Urbanski serves as National Director for the U.S. national office of the Pope’s Worldwide Prayer Network. An author, educator, speaker, spiritual director, and retreat leader, Grace shares the life-changing message of God’s love and helps individuals discover how they can cooperate with God in their everyday lives. Her presentations have engaged parishes, schools, and organizations in reflections on prayer and faith.

From 2012–2016, Grace developed a national children’s ministry with the Pope’s Worldwide Prayer Network. Before returning to its national office in 2025, she served in a variety of roles, including Catholic school principal, writer, spiritual director, and English teacher. Grace and her husband, David, have five children and one grandchild, whose experiences helped inspire her book, Pray with Me: Seven Simple Ways to Pray with Your Children, published by Ave Maria Press.

Together, Father Phil and Grace bring extensive experience in prayer, retreat ministry, spiritual formation, education, and evangelization to their work with the Pope’s Worldwide Prayer Network-USA.
